THEME VERSE: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 (NIV) SYNOPSIS: In this program, we depict the origins of the problem of sin in our world. We present God's perfect plan for us as his "gift", a gift of eternal life. We look back to God's creation through the use of a story bag object lesson. We see the conversation between Eve and the Serpent in Eden (a five foot long bunraku snake puppet in full view of the children). Through shadow puppetry, we summarize the Eden story and God's plan to use Noah and Abraham to continue His perfect plan for mankind. We introduce the story of Jonah, as played by our puppet character, Milo. The children will see an 11 foot "whale" puppet swim through the audience with Jonah inside. Through Jonah's story, we see that God give the gift of salvation to all of us, even though we don't deserve it. The program ends with a quiet shadow song introducing Jesus as Lord, delivering his perfect gift in person. |

THEME VERSE: "For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him not perish but have eternal life." JOHN 3:16 (NIV) SYNOPSIS: "The World's Greatest Toy" is on display behind the PlaySoup stage for one night only. A priceless artifact, it piques the interest of Milo's brother Myron, who can't resist the urge to play with it, even though he's clearly instructed to "DO NOT TOUCH." In this program, we demonstrate the cost of disobedience as Myron breaks the toy and winds up in jail, unable to pay for his misdeeds. The children will play a fun game called "Losing Your Way" where they'll see how bad choices and disobedience can cause them to lose their way. They'll see a six foot tall blacklight character called "Hubie Toobie" who gets "Down On Your Knees" as we stress the importance of prayer in times of trouble. Myron's dilemma becomes an allegory for Christ's sacrifice as an anonymous friend donates the money for Myron to be set free. Myron doesn't understand why, but he chooses to accept the gift of freedom. The program ends with a shadow song called "Jesus Is A Gentleman" that shows Christ standing at our heart's door. |

THEME VERSE: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5 (NIV) SYNOPSIS: In this program, we seek to reinforce the need to stay rooted in the ways of Lord, so that we can grow and become strong in Him. Those ways are prayer, Bible study, worship, Christian friends, and attending church. The children will meet "StarBurst", a beautiful clown with a heart for God. StarBurst acts out the parable of the Sower with her friend Mr. Heart. From the parable grows Rhoda, a shy little flower planted in good soil, but who's starting to wither from lack of growth. The children will see a powerfully fun life-sized puppet called "3-D Elvis" as he sings "Power In The Blood." They'll see Rhoda the flower fall under the sway of the Devil's lies, and how love is the only force strong enough to reach her for the Lord. |

THEME VERSE: "But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24 :15 SYNOPSIS: Take a rip-roaring ride into the bygone days of barnstorming where you'll meet Billy Boyington, a young man who truly wants to learn to fly. Billy will do anything to join "Ace Armstrong's Flying Circus", including disobeying his instructor's rules. In the second half of the program, you'll also meet Cheri, a teenage girl facing some tough choices in life. See the choices they face and the decisions they make; and how we can make the right choice in our lives. (This is an excellent program for middle school and junior high). |

"Quickfoot Jack" is one smart bunny, and he knows what Easter is all about. Join Jack as he teaches his turtle friend, "Sullivan P. McRankle" the true meaning of Easter. This 21-minute musical will have your kids clapping and singing "Hosanna" as Jack and the Storyteller dispel Sully's notions of the Easter Turtle and his "Easter beans!" We can also pause this musical to instruct and allow the children to actually take communion as the disciple did with Jesus (This is an especially effective way to end a teaching series on communion). The entire program runs 45-60 minutes. Recommended for pre-K, K, and early elementary ages. |
